As usual medical carts are with 4 pc medical casters, 2 pc swivel  + 2 pc swivel with brake.

According to different designs some medical carts use double medical casters, and some medical trolleys use single medical casters. Because the carts are working in the hospital where they need keep low noise. So medical carts need to use low noise (Thermo Plastic Rubber )TPR casters,which will not leave marks on the floor meanwhile keeping low noise to ensure provide patients quiet environment. 

What's the differences between single medical casters and double medical casters? 

* Usually for same size medical casters the single wheel design is cheaper. It’s can work very well at a wide place.

*The double wheel medical casters can work better on narrow corners. Because the double wheel design allows the medical carts to turn direction flexibly and smoothly. Also compare the single wheel design, the double wheel medical casters are more reliable and nice.

On the current market most medical casters just have a total lock which can lock the wheel rotation and steering at the same time. Generally common carts use 2 pc rigid + 2 pc swivel to make the trolley reach a balance point between the operation on both turning direction and straight moving. 

But the medical carts have higher required 360 degree steering, so most medical carts need to use 4 pc all with swivel type.That’s will cause another problem----- difficult to keep the cart moving in a straight line especially at the long passageway.

Consider this we have developed a new kind of double medical casters with directional lock, which combine the double caster’s flexible steering and allow the medical casters can be moved at straight line.

As as below photos, the green lock pedal is directional lock means when press the green pedal the medical cart can be move in straight way easy, and red lock pedal is total lock which can lock both wheel rotation and swivel at the same time.
